Newsletter Tips To Optimize Sales
If you know me you'll know how highly I view list building as a means of making money on the internet. So once you have your list what do you do with it? The following are newsletter tips to point you in the right direction.
1. The newsletter you send out should give away some good information to your subscribers. You should try and have it so people will want to open your email to learn about the niche you are in, after all they have chosen to follow you to learn this information.
2. Your newsletter should build relationship and rapport with your subscribers and so they are more likely to buy from you.
3. Next on my list of newsletter tips is having a good subject line this is what grabs the subscriber's attention and gets them to open it. You could have the best written newsletter in the world but if the subject line isn't good it's unlikely to be opened.
4. Then for the layout of the email; lines should not be longer than about three and a half inches this makes it easier for people to read as they don't have to pivot their head as much and if they read your email they are more likely to click on whatever link you have in it.
5. You'll hear all different opinions on which email length is best and what kinda words to have in the email or if you should have some words all caps lock etc. Really no opinion is right or wrong; you need to test and find out which way your list reacts best.
6. A good pointer to get you started is to subscribe to some successful marketers in your niche and any email that you think is good, save it for future use (swipe file). In fact, a lot of marketers whose products you can affiliate will have prewritten and tested emails which you can use.
7. Autoresponders for sending out the email; I recommend icontact, it's very good for making sure your email doesn't get marked as spam and has a very high deliver rate.
So I hope these newsletter tips have been helpful. Remember your newsletter is how you make money!
